The City of Union is looking to hire an Engineering Technician. This position fills various roles in the departments of Public Works and Engineering in connection with Industrial Pretreatment, Wastewater and Stormwater Management and Code Enforcement.
Minimum educational requirement is an Associates of Arts degree, or equivalent, from a two-year college or technical school in architecture, engineering, biological sciences or related field. A minimum of five years of experience in related positions is desirable.

Street Maintenance Worker (Starting rate $19.70/hour
The City of Union is seeking a team-oriented Individual for the position of Entry Level Street Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department.
Starting hourly rate will be $19.70 an hour with a generous benefits package, including health, life, and dental insurance, and LAGERS retirement.
Applicants will be required to obtain a class A CDL with airbrakes within 6 months of employment. CDL A driver’s license desired. Applicant must have an acceptable driving record and pass a pre-employment drug test and physical. Able to operate heavy equipment of various sizes a plus.
Waterman I (Starting rate $21.07/hour)
The City of Union is seeking a team-oriented Individual for the position of Waterman I in the Public Works Department.
Applicants will be required to obtain a class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsements within 6 months of employment. Must be able to perform duties outdoors, such as heavy lifting and shoveling, in all weather extremes and be available for after hours, on call situations, and some weekends.
Qualified candidate must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical. Starting salary $21.07 per hour with a generous benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance. As well as LAGERS retirement.
