The City of Union contracts with Progressive and yes, there is a large trash pickup day. It is always the last pickup day of the month. More info ...
Why didn't my trash ... recycling ... yard waste ... get picked up today?
The City of Union contracts with Waste Connections and if your trash ... recycling ... yard waste ... was not picked up on the regularly scheduled day, then either it is a holiday or possibly there are dangerous winter weather conditions.
The following holidays are observed and no hauling will occur: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Service may be temporarily suspended and/or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control. For example, in severe winter weather trucks may not be able to operate safely until streets have been cleared. In this case, your trash will be picked up on the next day.
When in doubt, please call City Hall at 636-583-3600 with your address and we will be happy to confirm.
Call 1-800-344-7483 (DIG-RITE) at least 3 days before excavation. Just one call and all utility companies will be notified (Charter, Ameren, AT&T, Missouri Natural Gas and City of Union for water and sewer)
